Gamagara Scrap and Metal dealers purchase, collect and recycle steel and scrap materials (ferrous and non-ferrous) Our main site is situated in Kathu Industria, Northern Cape from where on-site scrap purchases and processing is conducted. A secondary site, opposite the main site, is currently being developed from where the processing of filters, oil drums and subgrade will take place.

Gamagara Scrap and Metal dealers make use of an outside company, 23°E 27°S Trading Enterprises for transportation. Our work relations include to following:

  • Transportation of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap and metals in our area of operation (from client's site to Gamagara Scrap site in Kathu Industria)

  • Business owner acts as consultant for Gamagara Scrap and Metal dealers and supervises on site when scrap metals are collected and removed

  • Transportation of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap and metals from Gamagara Scrap and Metal dealers site in Kathu Industria to the various off-loading sites at the foundries

Various foundries purchase all our recyclable steel and scrap materials. They process and clean scrap to be re-melted and re-used. We've recently obtained permission to deliver filter and oil drums for recycling.
The filtering process is as follows:

 
Scrap is brought closer to the baler
Baler loads scrap into bin
Scrap is baled once bin is full
Baled scrap is removed from bin
Baled scrap is ready for transportation to foundries

  • Preserving the fragile environment in Kathu and surrounding areas
  • We strive to recover valuable scrap and metals from unsightly industrial wastes and to transport the processed scrap to our foundry where recycled industrial and consumer products are produced from what would otherwise be pollutants and eyesores.
  • No harmful practises such as burning or chemical pollution are used in any of our or our foundry's processes.

  • Kumba Iron Ore, Northern Cape - Recycling of four EUCLID Rigid Dump trucks from Kumba Ore Mine, Sishen, Northern Cape




 

  • Good Year, Northern Cape - Recycling and removal of conveyer belt steel structures at Assmang Mine, Northern Cape
